History:
In 1932, the construction master José Corbella Pené was commissioned to project in the Sierra Morena, an area of the current Natural Park of the Sierra de Andújar, a country house or vineyard for Plácido Gisbert, president of the Local Board of Employers of Andújar, which is concluded in 1934.
Corbella, inspired by the experiences and models disclosed by the German architecture magazines, designed a single-family house of second residence in the form of a cubic building - influenced by the Müller House by Adolf Loos (1930) -, of functional-rationalist style stripped of all ornamental accessories, with the characteristic horizontal bent windows and metal or boat tube railings.

The different spaces are designed around the staircase, which occupies the centre of the floor, abounding in the dynamic concept of space. The volumes are shown with cleanliness on the outside, freely configuring pure, straight and curved shapes, open spaces or terraces, sometimes in a voluntarily asymmetric massif and hollow composition in overlapping plants, as in the main facade.
