In this context, the sustainability of the project cannot only take into consideration the technical and construction aspects of the transformation intervention but, in terms of memory, must also concern the way in which the characteristics of the past are recovered and re-proposed in a contemporary key.

The project stems, on the one hand, from the renovation of the existing lamia and trullo and, on the other hand, from a new building. Towards the stunning backdrop of the centuries-old olive trees, an infinity pool was built in “dark grey” colouring. The concept of the project was to keep most of the structure intact by reorganising the spaces and streets to ensure a close relationship between inside and outside.

Specifications of the composition of the house:

The living area, a vaulted stone Lamia with a stone fireplace, represents the historical memory of the materials and building techniques of the local tradition, around which two volumes revolve, within which is concentrated a bedroom and services. The trullo in its originality and beauty lends itself to a comfortable bedroom. The new part, built with the same materials, represents an independent guest house with two minimal bedrooms.

The estate has a total, residential area of approximately 200 SQM plus yards, verandas and technical rooms.
