The castle constructed in the XVIIIth century to defend the entrance to Galicia territory witnessed several important battles and has been described by many books. Today, after recent restoration works done under the supervision of a famous architect it turned into a splendid and unique residence.

The particular structure of the building remained intact and still today we may admire the almost 2 meters wide stone walls, vaulted ceilings in stone blocks and typical loophole windows.

The living space of 700 sq.m. approximately is a succession of large rooms with ceilings reaching the height of 5 meters. The restoration works involved new floors in wood, all new installations and insertion of two bathrooms. All rooms have sea views and access to the garden. They are at present used as follows: large kitchen with original stone fire place, double sitting room with a huge stone fireplace, study, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Other two rooms used as laundry and wine cellar can be easily transformed into additional living space.

The internal courtyard measuring 3000 sq.m. is surrounded by a high fortified stone wall with 12 canon loopholes and a watchtower. In the past it was further protected by a moat, still visible in some points. The courtyard contains four beautiful gardens and several spots ideal to relax and admire the fantastic panorama of the sea and the surrounding mountains. There is also a storage for garden furniture and covered parking space.

The entrance to the property leads through an automated iron gate and an alley completely immersed in vegetation. Rest of the 5 hectares plot, which surrounds the property and runs from the road to the sea, is composed of woods and lawn. Several paths and stairs cut in the rock lead to the sea and a small beach. The castle has water supplied by three wells and from the city, telephone, broadband internet, TV, alarm system, electric energy and central heating.

It is like living in the XVIII century with today commodities. It is possible to construct on the land beyond the stone wall another structure with a maximum of 14 bedrooms (relevant documents available upon request). With the unique position and typology of the property, location near some famous points of interest (one declared European patrimony) it could become a luxury tourist complex - ideal reference point for many yachts and private boats navigating in the vicinity. Completion of fast road connections will reduce by 50% the time necessary to reach large towns, airports and train stations. It is moreover possible to construct a heliport within the property. No emblematic establishment is present in the area as yet, while quality tourism demand is continuously increasing.
