Manor House,Nagymező Puszta HRSZ 042/9 , built in a Neo classical (end of XVIII-XIX )style is situated on a 1,6153Ha park with an apple/fruit orchard on both side of the driveway to the manor house. Some of the trees date back hundreds of years.

The property is surrounded by forest and its own agricultural land. Set in a very pieceful environment.

Of its exact origins there are mixed tales. The locals call it the : kastély.  As far as I could find out  this area belonged to the  Eszterházy and Hatvany-Deutch , Zichy , Kohut families.  Stables belonged to the manor house and people from the village came to work as it was in those days for the land owner.

The Zilachy family had a castle before the war on the hill which was demolished and used as building material.

Nagymező could have been the hunting manor to the castle.

We have not requested the building to come under heritage protection, leaving an option for future alterations if required.

The main building consists of 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, sitting room, dining room, pantry, kitchen cellar and an attic over the whole building with high inner depth.

The guest house has 2,5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and sitting room/dining room.

Both buildings have their own central heating done with wood.

Water supplied by own well.

We have a caretaker couple living on the property  who maintain it.

We have over the years built up a good relationship with other land owners and have a good Network  of handymen and contacts for repairs.

Nagymező Puszta is 80km’s from Budapest, accessible from the M3, then at Salgótarján/Hatvan turn off to the road 21( two lane newly built), then the next turn off is to Hollókő 4km tar road to the property.

Pásztó (7km) is a town with 10,000 inhabitants with shops, post office, schools etc.

Nagymező Puszta belongs from administration point of view to Kozárd village 1km away.  It is a very well looked after village with keen efforts to attract tourism.

There is an option to purchase an extra 72ha agricultural land bordering the property.
