Le Roc is a magical place with a beautiful view, located in a green lively area. You are on the property surrounded by forest, meadow, and impressive views.

On the property there is an authentic 'Perigordien' house, with a courtyard surrounded by barns and outbuildings. There is also a wooden covered terrace with outdoor kitchen in the garden.

The property is placed in a beautiful setting of green hills, with the Vézère river just a stone's throw away, and opposite the Unesco World Heritage Site of La Roque Saint Christophe - a unique location. At the same time, we certainly don't live in a remote location; Montignac, Les Eyzies and Sarlat, as well as Périgueux and Brive-la-Gaillarde are all within easy reach from here.

Our house and grounds - Le Roc

Inside:
Our house is an authentic 'Périgordine' house, built in the local limestone. The house has been completely renovated with a view to preserving the original elements, such as the original roof trusses.

The house has a pleasant open layout. Under the entire surface of the house we have a spacious cellar (cave). On the ground floor you will find a living room with a large fireplace in which a stylish stove has been incorporated. You will also find a cozy dining area, and a kitchen with all necessities. All windows offer views of the valley below. Finally, there is a toilet and shower on the ground floor. On the upper floor, you move under the wooden beams of the roof, which gives a spacious and at the same time cozy impression. You will find two rooms and a bathroom with shower and bath. There is central heating in all areas.
We are now also connected to the fiber optic network that provides fast internet.

Outside:
Outside you will experience a lot of peace and space, you can see far away and the houses of the first neighbors are a few hundred meters away. There is a covered wooden terrace with an adjacent outdoor kitchen, where you can sit outside from spring to autumn and enjoy both breakfast and lunch, as well as cozy drinks and dinners.

Around the courtyard there are a number of large barns and outbuildings, which are perfect for storage of e.g. All your garden stuff, and also some well-insulated rooms where you can store more fragile items. We have furnished one of the rooms as a pleasant bedroom for guests. Guests can also sleep in the original but restored baker's house.

The grounds are 30,000 m2 (3 ha) in size, and in the garden there are several fruit trees and walnut trees that provide a delicious yield every year. It is also an ideal area for keeping animals, such as horses (there is still an old horse arena) or sheep if you wish.
On our plot, located further from the house, there is also a spacious hangar, with water and electricity connection. Large enough for the placement of a few cars and/or caravan/camper.

Lifestyle change

You live here in the heart of the Périgord Noir, overlooking the Unesco World Heritage Site "La Roque Saint Christophe". The river "La Vézère" is a stone's throw away. Our domain is located in the so-called "golden triangle" between Sarlat, Les Eyzies and Montignac. The ideal base to visit the region: from prehistoric cave houses with murals and beautifully situated castles to atmospheric night markets in picturesque medieval villages.
