La Tania is situated halfway between Courchevel and Meribel & is nestled at an altitude of 1400m surrounded by a magnificent forest. There are 2 really nice red runs, 1 beautiful blue run and 1 very gentle green ski piste all leading you back the the heart of the village. There's a free drag lift and ski piste for absolute beginners in the heart of the village!
La Tania is unique in the three valleys due to the resort centre being entirely pedestrian which lends a feeling of security for children and parents. La Tania has a very family friendly atmosphere and offers good price value. It is a small self-contained village that offers all of the basic shopping, dining (including 1 Michelin star restaurant, ‘Le Farcon’), entertainment and various other services. There are 4 ski hire shops, 8 restaurants, 6 bars, a bakery, tabac, newsagent, supermarket, tourist office & post office. There is live music most nights throughout the ski season during happy hours.
There is a free ski bus that runs approximately every hour to Le Praz, Courchevel 1550, 1650 & 1850 (it is approximately 30 m to 1850). The ski bus runs all day until around 22h. There is also a service to Méribel Village 3 or 4 times a day (operating at peak Christmas and half term holiday times only).
La Tania continues to buzz during the summer season of July & August, you can enjoy an abundance of mountain biking & hiking trails many of which are used during the winter for snowshoeing!
